Connecting Todo with Appigo Sync on OS X

To see an overview of the process, please watch this screencast.

When configuring synchronization in Todo, select "Appigo Sync" from the list of services.

Note: if you are already synchronizing Todo with Toodledo or Remember The Milk, Todo will give you a warning that switching sync services will remove all of the connection information for your current synchronization service. For more detailed information about switching sync services, please see this FAQ.

With Appigo Sync running on the same network as your iPhone / iPod touch, you should see your computer listed under the "Available Desktops" section. In this example, we are running Appigo Sync on "Kurt's Mac Mini" and it is listed here.

Tap on "Kurt's Desktop" and you will be taken to a passcode screen.

Once you see the passcode displayed on your iPhone / iPod touch, open Appigo Sync's Preferences window on your desktop. Appigo Sync runs as a background application on your desktop. You can access its preferences by clicking on its status icon in your main menu bar.

You will see your iPhone / iPod touch displayed in the list of devices.

If you do not see your iPhone or iPod touch in the list, you may need to check your Firewall Settings.

Highlight your device and press the "Authorize" button. You will then be prompted for the passcode which is showing on your iPhone / iPod touch.

Once you've entered the passcode correctly, Appigo Sync authorizes your device.

In Todo, you are automatically taken back to the Synchronization screen with your service configured to now use Appigo Sync.

Close the Settings screen. Todo is now configured to synchronize with iCal. Press the synchronization button at the bottom-left of your screen. Your Todo tasks should now synchronize with your iCal To Do items. Additionally your lists in Todo will be synchronized as calendars in iCal.

Editable calendars are synchronized to Todo as Lists. Read-only and subscribed calendars are not synchronized because they do not contain tasks and cannot be edited.

You may now make changes in either Todo or iCal to your tasks. As long as you keep Appigo Sync running on your desktop and your iPhone / iPod touch is on the same Wi-Fi network, you will be able to synchronize any time by tapping the synchronization button in Todo.

Access tasks in iCal by pressing the thumbtack button at the bottom-right of the iCal window.
